Membership for Licensed Providers
We are currently looking for more providers to join our group. If you’re interested in learning more, please email us for more information.
A note to Associate Providers:
Associate level providers often have no choice but to work for agencies or groups where their choices are limited — and they do not build the knowledge and skills to prepare them for success in private practice.
We want to change this narrative by working together to encourage and empower those starting out to get the most out of their education and career.
We want to connect with providers who are interested in starting (or already have begun) the process of opening their business and who want shared community and support in reaching success!
Our group may be a great fit for you if you…
Highly value flexibility and autonomy
Identify as a member or ally of the LGBTQIA+ community or as neurospicy
Value a collective mindset in mental health
Want to avoid community mental health
Cooperative Collaboration
Do you want to work with a company that provides the support of a group, but that takes ZERO profit off the top of your pay? Does going out on your own sound scary but working under oppressive healthcare systems sound worse? It does to us too.
We are working to build a cooperative of independent providers across Washington State that steps outside of the norms of the current business models available to us. Our founder, Kim Lycan, envisioned a diverse group that shares common values, is known to have education and experience to meet client needs, and can work toward common goals of accessible and affirming wellness services WITHOUT exuding control over providers.
To accomplish this, we contract with providers of all levels to collaboratively work toward success.
We functionally operate like a true worker co-op, in that we value and strive to uphold the tenants of a co-op between licensed providers in our collective. (You can learn more about what makes a co-op and how Lycan fits in this model here).
Co-ops in healthcare can be a challenge. To bypass some challenges we have worked to develop a different model to provide a cost sharing solution that is better than other groups in many ways. We want to change the narrative in healthcare that we cannot make money together or that we have to give up what we make to gain the benefits of support. We don’t have to work alone in the fight against an oppressive system.
