Membership for Interns

Come learn with us!

We are excited to accept student counselors on our team for practicum or internship work online! Student volunteers are one of the ways that we are able to reach a broader portion of the community. As a student counselor you will have flexible hours, work on your own schedule, and have the opportunity to see a variety of clients to build a diverse skillset.

If you are interested in applying to complete your student professional experience with our team, please email a resume and cover letter to reception@lycancounseling.com.

* PLEASE NOTE: At this time all student positions are volunteer only. *

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Interns operate 100% online due to serving clients throughout Washington State via telehealth. Some programs insist that CACREP requires in-person student experience. This is no longer true. Please confirm with your school if their program requires in-person experience outside of the CACREP standards. Feel free to pass on the following resources to demostrate that CACREP standards do not support this requirement.

Please see the following CACREP standards for Professional Practice:

  1. https://www.cacrep.org/for-programs/digital-delivery/#subchange

    Lycan Counseling meets the relevant criteria outlined in Sections 3.B, 3.C, 3.H., 3.L, 3.N, 3.P, 3.Q

  2. https://www.cacrep.org/section-3-professional-practice/

The current (2016) CACREP standard for professional practice. Lycan Counseling meets ALL the criteria outlined.

  3. https://www.cacrep.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Draft-3-2024-CACREP-Standards.pdf

The most recent draft of the new (2024) CACREP standard for professional practice (begins on pg 17). Lycan Counseling meets ALL the criteria outlined in the ongoing standards.*
